Taste of Cambodia & Vietnam 9 Days / 8 Nights



Day 1: Siem Reap – Arrival
Upon arrival and after clearing immigration and customs, be transferred by our local guide to hotel for check in. Siem Reap orientation, walking along the Siem Reap Riverside, and visit the Fruit-bat in front of the Residence of King and food market by Remok (Tuk Tuk). Then we will to get the blessing ceremony in temple of Palilay from the master of monk to bring you the happiness, good luck for your trip in Cambodia, and the best successful in life/love/business.

 Day 2: Siem Reap – Ta Prohm – Rolous Group – Banteay Srey – Banteay Samre
Early morning, we enjoy the Tuk Tuk to the jungle-covered temple of Ta Phrom and come back to hotel for breakfast at 07:30. One hour later to explore the ancient Khmer civilization site of Hariharalaya which flourished in the late 9th and earlier 10th centuries. These are the earliest temples in the Angkor area and are referred to the Rolous group. And then proceed to Visit Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Continue to visit Banteay Samre, one of the most complete complexes at Angkor due to restoration using the method of "anastylosis". The name Samre refers to an ethnic group of mountain people, who inhabited the region at the base of Phnom Kulen and were probably related to the Khmers. No inscriptions have been found for this temple, but the style of most of the architecture is of the classic art of the middle period similar to Angkor Wat. The proportions of Banteay Samre are splendid. A unique feature is an interior moat with laterite paving, which when filled with water must have given an ethereal atmosphere to the temple.

Day 3: Angkor Wat – Angkor Thom – Floating Village (Tonle Sap Lake) – Sunset
Breakfast at hotel, visit the biggest religious temple in the world - the magnificent Angkor Wat. Built by Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, Angkor Wat is considered a masterpiece of Khmer architecture. Angkor Thom City by South Gate. From the enigmatic faces of Bayon temple to the intricate bas reliefs of the Terrace of the Elephants, Angkor Thom is filled with fabulous monuments.
Late afternoon (15:30), Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap.  Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. And we will view the sunset on the foot of Phnom Krom which is an amazing time for us with the local people nearby and not with others tourists.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh – Toul Sleng Museum – Russian Market
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure to Phnom Penh, on arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel.
Afternoon, visit Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek are not to be missed. A visit to these sights provides a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge. We continue to one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Toul Tom Pong, all called the “Russian Market”, where anything and everything is for sales!

Day 5: Royal Palace – Silver Pagoda – National Museum with cyclo ride – free in afternoon
Breakfast at hotel, today we will have an absolutely authentic experienced with our local made CYCLO ride along the Sihanouk BLV, visit Independent and the private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred temple in the country and the sightseeing tour of Phnom Penh begins with a visit to the National Museum, which is dedicated exclusively to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period from 9th to 15th century, but some date from as early as the 4th century. Free in the afternoon for your own

Day 6: Phnom Penh – Chau Doc by speed boat
Have breakfast at hotel, this morning we will visit the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace, and Vat Phnom get to know more about the history and great culture of Khmer regime.
Afternoon, we will take the speed boat passing the border to Chau Doc - Vietnam
Arrive Chau Doc and check in hotel.

Day 7: Chau Doc – Mekong Delta – Saigon
Depart Chau Doc and drive southward to the Vinh Long
Enjoy the sightseeing in Mekong which is translated in Vietnamese as “ Nine Dragon River’ This is special experiences to see the real life of the local living along this river Delta. The visit includes the Candy factory, orchard garden, traditional music and have lunch in the ancient house. Afternoon, we crossing river to island by motorized boat, some part by oars boats, some part waking along the road of the villages. You could also do the short biking trip to get the real sense of countryside. We will disembark the boat at CaiBe pier and later in the afternoon we drive to Saigon.

Day 8: Saigon – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi
Enjoy a morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh Province to visit Cao Dai, a local sect of Buddhism, and join a memorable noon daily ceremony of the Cao Dai followers. After lunchtime back to a historic site of the Vietnam War - the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by the local people and guerrillas to survive the war against the American explosive attacks. We can even crawl a part inside the tunnel to understand life hereby during the fierce wartime.

Day 9: Saigon departure
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for departure to Hanoi on arrival meets and transfers by our local guide to hotel for check in.
